Stimp is a community-powered platform where golfers share real-time course conditions. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We use this to identify you on the platform and display your first name and avatar alongside your reports.

Condition Reports

When you submit a report, we store the course conditions you provide (green speed, fairway condition, pace of play, etc.), the date you played, and any notes you include. Reports are public and visible to all visitors.

Course Follows & Push Notifications

If you follow a course and enable push notifications, we store your push subscription details (endpoint and encryption keys) so we can notify you when new reports are submitted for courses you follow.

Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics and PostHog to understand how visitors use the site. These services may collect information such as pages visited, time on site, browser type, device type, and approximate location. Cookies may be set by these services to track sessions and usage patterns.

How We Use Your Information

• Display your name and avatar on reports you submit
• Send push notifications for courses you follow
• Improve the platform based on usage patterns
• Communicate important service updates

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party services including Google, PostHog, Supabase, and Vercel for authentication, analytics, data storage, and hosting. Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

Data Retention

Your account information is retained as long as your account is active. Condition reports remain on the platform indefinitely to provide historical course data to the community. Push notification subscriptions are removed when you unfollow a course or revoke notification permissions.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. You can unfollow courses and disable push notifications at any time through the platform.
